  • Katie Tucker

    Professional Graduate Certificate in Education

What do you enjoy about your course?

Everything. From start to finish the staff were so helpful and made me feel part of the course immediately. I applied for the course from New Zealand and was given large amounts of information and support with my application which made the process completely easy.

How is studying at Darlington College different to your previous school?

Being a mature student and having life experience allowed for me to take a very positive attitude towards my learning. I received great support from all of the staff on the course and would highly recommend the course to others.

    What are your career aspirations?

Before enrolling on the course I was aware that I wanted to pursue a career as a teacher. Having undertaken a placement at the college I have now secured employment with Darlington College.

What is the next step in your education?

I would look into a PhD in the future. However, for now, teaching itself provides constant education.

How will this course and Darlington College prepare you for your next step?

I will use the experience given to me in my current post to grow as a teacher and provide the best education I can for my students.

What advice would you give to students wanting to study at Darlington College?

Do it! If you have the desire to learn and the ambition to succeed the staff at Darlington College will go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals.
