This course provides an introduction to bread making skills, including preparation techniques for a range of bread types and varieties. This inclusive programme will develop an awareness of the production of bread dough and bread products including the ingredients used and how they react with each other. Basic as well as more advanced dough products will be produced, including dough products for those with specific dietary requirements. Skills such as shaping, decorating and storage are also included.

A practical experience delivered in the college kitchens and under the tuition of professional chef lecturers.
No formal assessment will be carried out. You will be given feedback and guidance from tutors. At the end of the course you will receive a college certificate of achievement.
Please bring an apron and notebook and pen.
