Course overview

This Beauty Therapy course is a great starting point for anyone looking for an exciting change in career, or to develop new skills to work alongside your current employment. The beauty industry is going from strength to strength and becoming ever more popular, with new and emerging treatments. The course covers a wide range of skills needed in the beauty industry, and is good for anyone who enjoys practical hands on treatments that help people look and feel great.

The course has two options for attendance.

Option 1 - 1 day per week - Wednesday 9am - 6pm (9.30am for 1:1 tutorial appointments)
Option 2 - 2 evenings per week - Tuesday and Wednesday 5pm - 9pm (4.30pm Tuesday for 1:1 tutorial appointments

Studying and learning

Types of classes include workshops, practical sessions, tutor led lectures and tutorials. You will be expected to complete around 6 hours of home study per week.

  • Lash and brow treatments
  • Pedicure
  • Manicure
  • Waxing
How will I be assessed

You will be assessed on a continual basis for written and practical work. At the end of your programme you need to submit a portfolio of evidence, which you will be shown how to complete.

What next

Employment opportunities could include working in a Beauty Salon carrying out basic treatments, setting up your own business or working as a Mobile Therapist.
