Print Page

Management and Professional Qualifications focus on the needs of a specific profession such as Accountancy, Marketing, Human Resources, Management, Business, Purchasing and Supply and are related to professional bodies. Generally these qualifications are needed to ensure career progression and standing within the relevant profession. Students can maximise their potential on such courses by becoming a member of the relevant body.

Assessment comes in many forms and depends on the subject being followed – some are more exam-focused, others are more coursework-focused. These qualifications range from level 4 to level 7.

CIPS explained

Purchasing & Supply

If you enjoy working with numbers, meeting and negotiating with people and meeting deadlines, a career in purchasing could be the ideal job for you.

For any business, spending money is the first step towards making money. Spend too much money on goods and services and the cost eats away at the profits. Spend too little and the quality of goods or services can be damaged. Both scenarios put the business in jeopardy so effective procurement is essential.
