Darlington College business students are celebrating success after being offered University places and securing work.

The Business Level 3 students have offers from Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside Universities on business management, marketing management and criminology courses following completion of their college studies in June.

Student Michelle Hutchison said she was very happy to gain her unconditional offer from Northumbria University to study law while Bianca Carazianu is delighted with her progression route on to a Business Apprenticeship in Accountancy. Routes into work include that of Ethan Smith who is joining his family’s business.

Programme Leader Janine Crowther said she is very proud of what the students have achieved.

Janine said: “Dedicated visits to Universities that were put on within the department have inspired and encouraged the students to reach their full potential. They all now have a clearer plan of their future careers and the sky is the limit.”

Mike Chapman, Curriculum Manager for the area added: “We’re extremely proud of the group, they have all worked tirelessly to achieve the grades needed to secure their university places. Something we’re very passionate about is providing a range of opportunities and expert advice to our students that enables them to make really confident decisions about their future.”
