Introducing Skills Support for the Workforce is a new scheme running at Darlington College.

Jointly funded by the ESF and Skills Funding Agency, this unique project is designed to bridge the skills gap for employees working in small to medium enterprises based in Richmond and Northallerton*

The biggest advantage to this project is that the courses are completely free to both employers and employees. We will be offering a wide range of courses tailored to organisations to meet their business requirements.

Training requests so far have included:

  • Basic skills in computing (including accessing the internet)
  • Business administration
  • Customer services
  • Leadership and management
  • Functional skills in ICT
  • Functional skills in numeracy and literacy

*In order to be eligible employees must be aged 19+, work for a SME (with up to 250 employees) in the Richmond and Northallerton areas, and be able to provide proof of eligibility to live and work in the UK.
