Michael Thurloway studied sports journalism as part of his NCTJ Journalism diploma at Darlington College

A Darlington College NCTJ journalism student has won an award for his outstanding performance in his sports journalism exam.

 

Michael Thurloway received his prize from the National Football League in London during a media day for the upcoming American football international series.

Michael won the chance to report from the press box at one of three NFL international series games at Wembley Stadium in the autumn along with Scott Hunt, a former sports journalism student at News Associates in Manchester and Grant Yardley, a graduate of the MA sports journalism course at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.

Michael studied sports journalism as part of his NCTJ Journalism diploma at Darlington College and is now working as a sub-editor for Business Monitor in London.
