This GCSE course is free to those who do not already have a grade C or grade 4 (9-1).
Although there are no formal requirements it helps to have a D grade in GCSE Maths (achieved recently) or have passed the Level 2 National Test. We are happy to have a chat to help you decide if this is the right course for you. All students must be interviewed and assessed if they have none of the qualifications listed above.
Please contact Pauline Colbourne on 01325 503267 to arrange an assessment.
The programme is tutor led and you will be working in both large and small groups, in pairs and on a 1:1 basis in tutorials. You will receive a scheme of work at the beginning of the programme which will indicate the types of activities you can expect to participate in. There will be opportunity every week for extra support in the tutorial time allotted at the end of each session. You should aim to undertake a further 2 hours of study at home.
Many employers regard it as a necessity and it can also be a useful foundation for a number of higher level qualifications.
