Upon completion of the Level 3 Technical Certificate in Health and Social Care, you can then progress onto this Technical Extended Diploma. When both of the 2 years are completed the maximum amount of UCAS points that can be claimed are 168.
You will spend 3 days a week in college for theoretical learning and 1 day in placement per week.
You will need to have completed the CACHE/NCFE Certificate in Health and Social Care.

You will have to complete 9 mandatory units, the course is graded D to A*. At the end of the year there is an extended controlled assessment which is externally marked.

You will be assessed mainly through coursework, except for the extended controlled assessment which is externally marked.
Possible careers include being a midwife, adult/child nurse, psychologist, sociologist, criminologist, social worker, lab technician, or paramedic.

Course fees are payable to Darlington College. Registration and membership fees may be payable. All course fees are per year.
