Matching Service

Interested in an apprenticeship but need a job?

We realise that a lot of school leavers will be thinking the same thing, that's why we have introduced a new matching service at the college.

As long as you have decided which apprenticeship you would like to do, we can help you find a job in the industry you are interested in with a suitable employer.  However we are unable to guarantee that we will find you employment so you must also try to find your own.

Darlington College has a network of over 1000 employers across Teesside and North Yorkshire and using these links we can actively ‘match’ applicants to job vacancies as they become available.  

This is a dedicated service for 16-18 year olds who have already applied to the college and undertaken the Literacy and numeracy assessments. Before you complete your CV online, you will have already been interviewed by the occupational assessor at college and received a provisional offer of an apprenticeship place for summer 2009, which will depend on you finding a job.  

Although we can’t guarantee that the matching service will find you a job, by submitting your CV to us and carrying out your own job search, your chances are greatly enhanced of securing your apprenticeship.
