We welcome gas professionals from organisations of all sizes, including self employed gas operatives and Plumbers to use our facilities to undergo their essential training. Equipped with all of the state-of-the-art resources to meet the new standards, all training and assessments can be tailored to your requirements and are offered at competitive prices.

Our tutors are former industry professionals and can advise on the latest gas safety legislation, British standards and changes within the industry, as well as the national requirements for the Gas Registration Scheme.

Accredited Certification Scheme

The suitability of the Accredited Certification Scheme will depend on your experience or qualifications in the gas industry, but is ideal for:

• Gas fitting operatives with a full gas qualification
• Operatives with a relevant qualification such as Plumbing who can provide a portfolio of evidence working alongside a fully qualified gas fitter
• Operatives without a relative qualification who can provide a substantial amount of evidence to prove they have been working alongside a fully qualified gas engineer

The accredited certification scheme offers:

• Initial assessment
• Re-assessments
• Assessment and certification to extend your range of work
• Alternative training for unvented hot water systems, water regulations and energy efficiency.

Assessments

CCN 1 Core Gas Safety

Course includes the minimum legal requirements of tightness testing, flue testing and recognition of signs of danger. Combustion, gas controls, pressure control, purging, flue systems and relevant legislation and standards. Upon successful completion of this assessment you will be able to take a range of specialist subject assessments.

CEN 1 Central Heating Boilers

Install, exchange, disconnect, service, repair, breakdown and commission domestic gas fired central heating/hot water boilers and circulators up to 70kw.

HTR 1 Gas Fires

Install, exchange, disconnect, service, repair, breakdown and commission domestic open, balanced and fan assisted flue gas fires and wall heaters.

CKR 1 Gas Cookers

Install, commission, service and repair domestic gas cookers.

WAT 1 Water Heaters

Install, commission, service and repair domestic gas water heaters.

CPA 1 Combustion Performance Analysis

Understand and use a flue gas analysers’ on flueless, open and room sealed appliances.

MET 1 Domestic Gas Meters

Install, commission and exchange of gas meters in small natural gas installations.

CONGLP LPG Changeover

LPG changeover allows engineers qualified in natural gas appliances to work on same appliances types operating on LPG.

EE1 Energy Efficiency

Understanding of the building regulations for documents L1 and L2.
